Zen Typer Privacy

Zen Typer is designed as an account-free typing practice app. It keeps core writing and practice data in your browser.

What the app stores

Zen Typer may use browser storage for settings, local drafts, archived writing sessions, theme preferences, reduced-motion preferences, and typing practice metrics such as WPM, accuracy, streaks, and session progress. This storage lets the app remember your workspace without requiring an account. Clearing browser storage for this site can remove those saved preferences and drafts.

The app does not ask for a login, password, payment method, or profile. Typing practice can be used directly in the browser. Avoid entering sensitive personal, financial, medical, or confidential workplace information into any browser-based writing tool unless you are comfortable storing that content locally on your own device.

Analytics and third parties

Zen Typer is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard request metadata needed to serve the site, protect the service, and measure basic delivery health. The app is built to keep the typing experience local and lightweight. External links to Jonathan Reed projects or social profiles leave this site and are governed by those services.

Local storage is device and browser specific. A draft saved in one browser profile is not meant to follow you to another device, and clearing site data can remove saved settings or archives. This keeps the app simple, but it also means users should export or move any writing they want to keep long term.
